Received a text, the person did not identify themselves by name, only that they were somewhat related to a school. They wanted an identifying number and I inquired in a separate text back asking their name as I don't give out my information to people I don't know. So far, they have been unresponsive. Meanwhile, others on the text, a supposed group text, have sent back their information. I texted in the chat that I saw everyone's numbers, and asked for this person to identify themselves by name. Then I removed myself from the conversation. I don't have time to play detective and we live in an age where people will still hand out their information without questioning who they are "talking" to whether electronically, by text or in person.
