I received a phone call from 8883021728 saying my college loan was being opened after being in deferment for 6 yrs. I new it was a scam because THE DEPT OF EDUCATION WILL NOT CALL YOU, THEY WILL ONLY CORRESPOND WITH A LETTER THROUGH THE MAIL. ( I was told this by an agent from the dept of education . they will give you a number to call them back with. he sad If I didn`t get a letter it wasn`t from them. this is a scam .
